About the role.

As a (Junior) Data Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of data, automation, and business. Within the Finance Reporting & Analysis team, you play a key role in improving data flows, automating processes, and translating data into actionable insights.

You will have the opportunity to build and improve technical solutions while directly contributing to data-driven decision-making within the organization.

What you are going to do?

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will focus on optimizing data processes and supporting data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities include:

Optimizing and maintaining Python scripts for ETL processes and financial reporting;

Developing clear and impactful dashboards in Power BI;

Deliver and analyze data to support business decisions;

Automating business processes using RPA, and AI Power Automate;

Improving data quality and reliability within data pipelines;

Implementing error handling and monitoring to prevent disruptions;

Establishing and maintaining data governance standards to ensure integrity and data quality;

Translating technical insights into clear and actionable reports for stakeholders.

What does our client expect from you?

For this Junior Data Engineer position, we are looking for an analytically strong early-career professional with an interest in data, automation, and business processes. You bring:

A completed MSc degree;

Basic knowledge of Python;

Affinity with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel;

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into insights;

Strong professional skills, including clear communication, structured, ownership, teamwork and a proactive mindset, combined with analytical thinking, leadership customer orientation, and commercial awareness;

Good communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders;

Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
